Carranger ep 10 v2

Now that we’ve finally reached ep 10 and are almost out of v1s we’re going to stop with the batches and going to do single ep releases again. This is also the first ep one of our drama translators worked on and he’ll also be the one making sure we can release new eps as well. So enjoy and look forward to the rest of the v2s being somewhat faster than this one.

And on a slightly unrelated side-note we’re also looking for someone to help us sub a winter season drama from japanese subs. Hurricanger episode 1

So what is this? The third time or something this episode got subbed? We’re not the kind of group to start from ep 2 though so here’s Hurricanger ep 1 again but now with our subs. Free internet cookie for everyone who complaints with arguments besides “But that’s how group X did it!” or you can just not complain. Either way is fine.

For those of you wondering how this will affect Carranger, it won’t. The original plan was to do this show after Carranger was done but HeatMetal from Over-Time showed interest in helping us sub the show making it quite silly to delay the release of this till Carranger is done since they won’t affect each other at all. So is Carranger slow? Yes. Will Hurri make it even slower? Nope. Will Hurri be faster than Carranger? Probably. We’ll also try to make Carranger releases faster though. It’d be kind of embarrassing for us if Hurri ended up catching up to Carranger after all (Not that it won’t happen).

Carranger 8-9 v3

There were some problems with the timing of ep 9 so here’s a v3. There’s also a v3 for ep 8 to fix the line with the random apostrophe. I figured that since i’m doing a new torrent anyway I might as well do a v3 for that as well.

Ep 7 is still the same so if you want to use that for seeding purposes just change the v2 in the folder name to v3 before starting the torrent. You can also change the name of ep 8 v2 to “[HaroRangers]Gekisou_Sentai_Carranger_-_08_v3[DVD][EC4280E7].mkv” before starting the torrent and you’ll have 99% or so of the file already. You can do the same for ep 9 v2 with “[HaroRangers]Gekisou_Sentai_Carranger_-_09_v3[DVD][C79ECC06].mkv” though that’ll only be about 1/3.

I’d do a patch if I knew how to but i’m too lazy to figure it out atm. If someone who has both files can do a patch that’d be great.

Carranger episode 7-9 v2

With even better encoding this time! We were using DVD5 ISOs before which were a huge improvement over the v1s that used avi rips but it’s always better to use DVD9s when possible. So I ended up buying the DVDs from ebay cause they were cheap enough (compared to what they’d cost new). Click here if you want to see what they look like for some reason.  I also bought another sentai on dvd that we might do after Carranger but I can’t seem to find the DVDs. They’re hiding or something.

Carranger – Episodes 4-6 V2

And here’s the second batch of Carranger v2s which includes episode 4-6. It took a bit longer than expected but that’s life or something. The next batch should be faster but who knows, maybe life will get in the way again. Also, the first person to make a “Dude, where’s my car?” joke when it took a while will get a cookie. DDL will be up when I’m done seeding the torrent.

Carranger – Episodes 1-3 V2

This release will start our reboot of the Carranger fansubs. While I realize that because it’s been so long since the latest release it’s very annoying to see us restart the series instead of continuing at ep 14 it’s something we had to do. With the not so recent anymore changes in HR encoding and typesetting the v1s of ep 1-13 simply looked too out of place. It also gave us a chance to give these eps another QC and translation check and to re-consider some decisions made during translation of v1 (Believe it or not but the v1 of ep 1 was quite rushed).

So here’s the first batch of v2s of Carranger. It’s the first three episodes. The things that were changed in comparison to the earlier releases are the following:

- It’s released in a MKV with embedded softsubs like all our other recent drama projects.

-  New typesetting and no more karaoke or effects. While expjeans did an excellent job on the effects they simply aren’t needed.

-  Another QC/Editing which fixed some minor errors that were still left in the previous release.

- New translation for the OP/ED done by Kiwi-musume.

- Like I said earlier we were able to re-consider some translation choices. For example, Extreme Rush is gone and it’s simply Racing now. Extreme Rush kinda sucked.

- The running gag of the Bowzock mispronouncing earth that we missed the first time isn’t missed this time. We were planning to use “Eearth” at first but since we noticed GSF used “Earf” in their release of Car vs. Kaku I decided to use that too since I liked it better.

That’s about it. This all to me makes the subs a lot better. I dunno when we’ll be able to release the next few batches but it shouldn’t be too long.
