Recruitment, updates and such
It’s been a while since we’ve had any translators express interest in working with us, so to be clear: we are still looking for new translators! One of our main translators recently informed us he wasn’t able to continue translating with us, and while this is only an inconvenience for some of our current projects, it means we can’t start any new drama projects. If you’re a capable translator interested in working with us, feel free to jump on #harorangers @ irc.rizon.net (If you don’t know what that means, use this: http://qchat.rizon.net/?&channels=%23HaroRangers ). Once you’re there poke me (Drazic) or Makhazol for more information. Alternately, mail us at staff [at] harorangers.com. There’s no real requirement for joining, I’ll just throw you an ep or two of a drama and see how that goes.
As some of you might have noticed, we also announced we’d be subbing Unmei no Hito on the jdrama fansub map. While we did start work on Episode 1, the translator had to stop because of real life problems. There’s Japanese subs, but the language used is quite a bit harder than in your usual Japanese drama. If you think you’d be able to handle that, we’d especially love to hear from you. Otherwise, we also have various other dramas that we could do, should they pique your interest. I bought a few R2 drama DVDs a while ago, and there are still plenty of dramas (with Japanese scripts) in need of subbing.
With regard to our current projects:
- Carranger
Progressing, slowly. Seems like someone out there really doesn’t want this subbed, given all the delays and obstacles we’ve faced, but we promise that we won’t let the sub ninjas win! No matter how long it takes, this will be done.
- Hurricanger
Progressing. Expect episode 4 soon, and 5 is being worked on.
- Last Mail
This is one of the projects the translator I mentioned earlier was working on, but he said that he’d still finish the first season of this before he quits altogether. Expect a batch for ep 1-3 soonish if this happens.
- Ningen no Shoumei DVD v2s
Slowly being worked on. Need to make sure I didn’t waste the 200 euro I spend on the DVDs.

Anna Tsuchiya – Switch On!
So, this may seem a bit odd given that we’re not exactly working on Kamen Rider Fourze (which, if you’re not aware, this song is the OP to). But if you’ve been following Over-Time’s releases of it, you may notice a remarkable similarity between our translation here and theirs. The reason for this is that they are the same – this is a joint project between us and them, with the translation being supplied by the guy who does their Fourze.
If you haven’t already, I strongly recommend you head over to their site - http://over-ti.me/ - and check the show out. As far as Japanese rubber suit men fighting kid’s shows go, it’s been great fun so far, and new episodes coming out are always one of the high points of my week.
The video itself is kind of… interesting. The song itself is great, but, well… you can see for yourself. Not exactly full of thrilling action. And I dunno about you, but personally I don’t find the Ankh’s Mother look all that appealing.

Wind Ninjas, Episode 3, on stage!
Things are picking up! As we mentioned when we released episode 2, there was an unusual delay after episode 1, so things should (theoretically) be faster. And behold! Here’s more!
We get a lot of the lovely Nagasawa Nao this episode, whom you might have been able to tell from our release images several of us on the team are somewhat enamoured with. However, there’s also a fair amount of singing, which caused considerable frustration – I’m thankful for the patience of all the staff who helped with them. Nao’s fine, of course, but some of the other characters singing in this episode…
Anyway, this kind of pace is more what we had in mind for this show. Hopefully we’ll be able to maintain it for a bit.

Go-Busters shut down
So, after we released the first episode of Go-Busters, another group we respect a lot – Over-Time – subsequently decided to sub it and released their version of the episode. We’re not that interested in trying to compete with them, so we won’t be continuing to sub the show. The first episode was done on impulse – we didn’t know whether Over-Time would sub it, and Aesir seemed like they wanted to but their translator wasn’t sure if he could manage it alongside his other shows. When we found out Over-Time was going to do it, we were already close enough to having a finished product that we didn’t want to let it go to waste.
So yeah, go to http://over-ti.me/ for future eps of Go-Busters. We might or might not release a v2 of episode 1 to fix a few things, but given that we don’t plan on doing future episodes it doesn’t exactly seem too urgent.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters episode 1
So here’s our sub for the new Super Sentai series: Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. You’re probably thinking “Go-Busters? But you’re barely even releasing Car/Hurri!” and, well, that’s a fair point. But we’re doing this anyway.
We haven’t forgotten about Carranger, though – new releases of that and Hariken are coming soon.
The HD release is a 10-bit video, so you might want to update your video players/codecs if it’s not playing properly. You can also have the script, which will work with the SD raw.
Anyway, we’re pretty excited about this show and being able to work on it. So: enjoy.

Shoo shoo ninjas episode 2
So as you can see this ep took quite a while to get out. We made sure to wait till ep 2 was translated before we released ep 1 but then other staff got busy so this ep still took quite a while to get done. But anyway, enjoy ep 2 of Hurricanger and we’ll try to make sure the wait between eps won’t be as long from now on!
And while it’s a week late I guess this also counts as our fifth anniversary release. I didn’t have anything to release on the day itself (13th) so this will have to do. So yay, we’re 5 now! Happy belated birthday to us.

Carranger ep 10 v2
Now that we’ve finally reached ep 10 and are almost out of v1s we’re going to stop with the batches and going to do single ep releases again. This is also the first ep one of our drama translators worked on and he’ll also be the one making sure we can release new eps as well. So enjoy and look forward to the rest of the v2s being somewhat faster than this one.
